Had a lovely meal out here on our recent trip to Grassington and the food was absolutely delicious! The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. The restaurant isn’t… read more licensed but we were easily able to get some drinks from the pub across the road 🙂

You may have to wait a while as it doubles as a takeaway. Five tables upstairs that’s all so book in advance. No cards or licence so take your own… read more booze. Food exceptional as is the service. Essential to visit whilst in the area as an alternative to the excellent pub grub in the village

This place is a bit of a mixed bag. If I was scoring on food alone it’d be 5 stars. However, I have to take into account the coronavirus guidelines… read more which are NOT being followed at all here.
Food
Overall was very nice. We had chicken tikka and tandoori to start both of which was very nice and well cooked. My other half had a jalfrezi and said it was really good. I had a dopiaza but it wasn’t very spicy, it needed more heat.
Coronavirus
There is no social distancing at the restaurant as it’s tiny. The staff did not wear masks. Our server was coughing and I didn’t see him cover his face.

A small seating area above a takeaway shop that provides a really good meal. My friend and I were delighted to find this gem of a curry restaurant. The meal… read more was lovely and plenty to choose from. The poppadoms were fresh and the pickles and chutneys were good.
The meat in our curries was tender, the flavours excellent, the rice tasty and the naan bread was really delicious.
All in all it was very good and I would not hesitate to go back next time I’m in Grassington.Rgoo

We have just enjoyed a short break to Grassington and were pleased to find a Indian restaurant there and managed to book a table, we arrived on time only to… read more be told our table was not ready and we has to wait in the takeaway area, after 20 minutes waiting our table was ready, we were taken upstairs to a very small restaurant where social distancing would not be easy if there had been more than just us in there, looking at other tables it was clear other tables had been in use but not cleaned or sanitised, my wife used the WC only to find the method given for hand drying was a normal hand towel, no paper towels or hand drier.
After quite a wait I went downstairs to ask if they would come and take our order, I was told they would be up soon but were very busy with takeaways, eventually we ordered but it didn’t go well, the waiter was clearly not happy when I questioned how long it would be once ordered, I was told restaurant orders were given priority, shame restaurant orders didn’t, when our pickle tray arrived it clear to see it had been previously used, one of the sauces had residue on the dish considerably higher than the actual sauce level, this didn’t happen by being just carried, the spoon in the sauce had sauce the full length of the handle, when raising this issue I was told it had been freshly prepared, sorry but it hadn’t.
That was our queue to leave, we went downstairs to inform them of our decision, then a elderly gentleman emerged from the kitchen to say he was pleased we were leaving because they were busy with takeaways, also noticed in a age when contact is being kept to a minimum that they are a cash only payment.
I cannot comment on the food as we were not prepared to stay in this establishment any longer as we both felt very unsafe and also felt the proprietor was not overly interested in keeping COVID safe.Miles-from-lincs

Brilliant food. The gentleman serving us, (9), was running FOH and cooking and waiting on… Absolute legend. Great atmosphere! Great food! Highly recommend the chicken kashmiri and Onion bhaji.

wasn’t expecting to find an Indian restaurant in a traditional Dales village. Looks like an uninspiring takeaway from the outside but has a tiny restaurant upstairs. They were doing a roaring takeaway trade when I turned up (two orders of £100 plus while I was waiting) with seemingly one guy doing takeaways and waiting tables. Food was lovely and service was great considering he seemed to be doing it all on his own. No licence but you can take your own, and cash only.

Food was ok – fairly typical Indian takeaway. But had to wait at pub opposite, long enough for two rounds of drinks! They also only accept cash… in 2020… for some curious reason…🤔 Don’t forget to ask for a till receipt 😉
